Sometimes life leaves you with a lot of questions: Why cancer and other health issues so young? Why rape at 13 years old? Why abuse? Why did a best friend betray me and will my marriage survive? How can death change dynamics so much within a family? Why can temptation and sin have such strongholds?
I have felt all these pains...pain inflicted on me by others, pain caused by circumstances beyond my control and pain brought on by my own wrong choices. Trying to stuff the feelings and fix the hurt on my own did not work.
God reached out, held me close, and carried me through the pain of the past. He continues to carry me through struggles of the present; giving me comfort, peace, forgiveness and hope.
He helps me to understand His mercy and grace.
The Beginning of Rest In Him Ministry
Upon becoming a five-year survivor of breast cancer, I was led to turn my "misery into ministry" to comfort those in trouble with the comfort I had received from God (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). I have been called to pass on the encouragement that I have received through Scripture,
testimony and sharing of hope-filled,
Christ-centered songs.
